Leading the food vertical, responsible for pitching, writing, assigning, and editing evergreen content while maintaining the editorial integrity of the brand, as well as driving content based on analytics. Managed a roster of over 40 freelancers and oversaw all food content, including brand partnerships. Additionally, contributed to social-first content, Substack content, and videos for various social channels.

Project duties spanned from pitching and recipe writing, development, and testing to copyediting and editorial production, while adhering to various company and project-specific style guidelines. Managed recipe content for the digital site experience while adhering to strategy and voice of the site. Responsible for managing a roster of freelancers and internal “Residents,” with additional duties of recipe testing and food styling. Furthermore, served as in-house talent for on-camera cooking content, in-person demos, branded partnership recipes, and an original recipe column.

Wrote, edited, and recipe tested for Blue Apron’s menu offerings. Responsible for editing and proofing up to 30 printed recipe cards plus 45 digital recipe cards weekly. Duties also included upholding internal style guides, creating branded blog posts, and contributing to customer-facing copy for newsletter. Board member of Aprons for All: creating equitable business practices to facilitate a diverse and inclusive space while also driving impact in the food world.

Responsible for interviews and research for the digital experience while also copy editing and producing daily short food essays. Occasionally pitched and wrote content for Explore Parts Unknown, the online companion to the CNN show.
